USDA-HHS Rejects Most of Recommendations in NASEM Report, Part 1
The agencies responsible for the U.S. Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA) quietly dismissed improvements suggested by Part 1 of NASEM report, focused on increasing transparency of the DGA Advisory Committee and managing committee member biases.
This committee, comprised of 13-15 people, is appointed every five years to review the science to update the Dietary Guidelines.
